What is Executive Coaching?
Senior executives often feel isolated in their roles. At the same time as driving strategy and change, they must often deal with difficult relationships and interpersonal issues. Leadership is now much more about the “softer” aspects of business – even though it’s hard results that shareholders still expect.
It can get lonely at the top. But, where the pressure is to deliver, corporate culture does not always encourage the seeking of confidential, skilled counsel.
However, experienced executives are now recognising the benefit of objective, independent and unconditional support offered by a trained and business-aware professional coach.
Business coaching can be especially valuable when the Divisional Head, MD, CEO or Chairman
- is taking on a new role, and feels out of his or her “comfort zone”
- is seeking new challenges and growth;
- is managing a career transition, either internally or externally;
- has specific issues or challenges to address;
- has problems with relationships that impede progress.
